Texas Toast

Texas Toast is a psychedelic country band that features touring musicians from Jaybone Bell and Restless Light, The People Brothers Band, Barbaro, Sleeping Jesus and My Grandma’s Cardigan who have all made their home in beautiful Winona, MN. The band has captivated audiences in the last year with sets at Boats and Bluegrass Festival, Blue Ox Music Festival and Wise Fest and at clubs in Wisconsin and Minnesota. What started as a country band turned into an exploration of our various influences including and not limited to R&B, Psychedelic Jam, Folk, Bluegrass and Pop/Dance while remaining in tune with the aspects of classic country music. Texas Toast features original music combined with covers of their influences. The band gives itself the freedom to keep each show unique with different setlists along with a throw caution to the wind mentality while exploring their own music and are not afraid to go deep on a tune to take it to new places of exploration. Something special is always bound to happen when the band hits the stage.

LowDown Brass Band

The LowDown Brass Band is a uniquely strong representation of Chicago Music culture. This talented all horn band leans heavily on dancehall and street beat rhythm, with the energy of conscious hip hop, jazz, reggae, and soul.

LowDown maintains a constant performing and touring schedule throughout the globe. Recent performances include a opening run with Galactic, Bon Jovi, The Montreal Jazz Festival, World Music Fest, Vancouver Jazz Fest, Lagunitas Beer Circus, Chicago Jazz Fest, Frendly Gathering, Alaska’s Salmon Fest, Chicago’s Do-Division Fest, Wicker Park Fest, Wakarusa, and Cotai Jazz Fest,

LowDown is currently touring their last two albums “The Reel Sessions” & “LowDown Nights”, created during the pandemic. These albums dive deeper into their unique sound and show how the collective continues to push the genre further into the future and beyond.

The North 41

The North 41 exploded on to the Chicago music scene in 2018 when their Funked Up cover of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” went viral on Facebook, racking up nearly 8 million views to date.

After years of developing original music and opening for nationally touring acts in Chicago, the band was selling out their own hometown shows and headlining packed shows all over the Midwest and in Colorado.

Their viral videos and high energy shows caught the attention of elite festival talent buyers. Since 2019, The North 41 has been booked on major events like Summer Camp Music Festival, Electric Forest, Sweet Water 420 Festival, Musikfest & Domefest.

During the height of the pandemic in 2020, the band managed to go viral multiple times on Tik Tok. Their single “My Ecstasy” caught fire on the platform and led to over 700,000 streams.

After releasing “My Ecstasy” and really honing in on their sound, the band invented a new genre with which they call Jam Pop. This sound can be described as Anthemic Choruses meets High Energy live show jamming.

In 2023 the band is set to release a new live album, several singles, tons of live footage, and will be bringing their Jam Pop sound to venues and festivals across the US. Stay tuned for more viral content and bigger and better shows!

“The California Honeydrops…evoke the greasy rumble of Booker T and channel the spiritual ecstasy of Sly and the Family Stone.” -Rolling Stone

Formed in the subway systems of Oakland, retro-soul outfit The California Honeydrops are an electrifying group that defy convention at every turn. They’ve become a mainstay at festivals including Byron Bay Bluesfest (Australia), Outside Lands, Monterey Jazz, Lightning In A Bottle, and touring with B.B. King, Dr. John, Bonnie Raitt, Buddy Guy, and Allen Toussaint. Led by the enigmatic and energetic frontman, Lech Wierzynski, and drummer Benjamin Malament, each member of the band is a virtuoso in their own rite — Yanos “Johnny Bones” Lustig on saxophone, Lorenzo Loera on keyboards/guitar, Beaumont Beaullieu on bass, and regularly accompanied by Scott Messersmith on percussion, Oliver Tuttle on trombone, Leon Cotter on saxophone/clarinet, and Miles Lyons on trombone/sousaphone — navigating through a vast repertoire of original songs and timeless classics every night. But what truly sets them apart is their unwavering commitment to the art of improvisation – a skill so finely honed that they have completely abandoned the use of set lists and no two shows are ever the same. Off stage, their music has been streamed more than 200 million times, and placed in a variety of TV and films, including “Dead To Me,” “Alaska Daily,” “Black-ish” and more. They are currently touring North America in support of their new deluxe album, ‘Soft Spot’.

Porky’s Groove Machine

Porky’s Groove Machine has been getting both funky and silly since the fall of 2011. Formed in Appleton, WI and now based in Minneapolis, MN, they have spent the last eight years performing everywhere from dirty basements to historic theaters, for audiences comprising anyone from middle school birthday party-goers to high-powered construction executives. While their costumes and sense of humor show their willingness to not take themselves too seriously, their dedication to high-energy and high-entertainment performances is anything but laughable. With classic covers, quirky originals, and synchronized dance moves (for band and audience alike), their live shows are a delight for crowds of all ages.

Nearing a decade of trombone solo-ing and audience congas lines, they have not gone unnoticed by audiences and promoters across the Midwest; Porky’s has been chosen to support national touring acts like Guster, Here Come the Mummies, The Motet, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, The Werks, and The Main Squeeze. As winners of the 2018 Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) for “Best R&B/Soul Band,” they were one of three bands chosen to headline the sold out Wisconsin Funk Fest at Madison’s legendary Majestic Theater in January, 2018.

Hot off the release of their new full length “Hello My Name Is” in March of 2019, they’re already heading back into the studio with keyboardist Kevin Gastonguay (Cory Wong, Dr. Mambo’s Combo) in the producer’s chair for their next EP, to be released winter 2020. You can catch them around the midwest in the fall of 2019 as a part of the People Be Porkin’ tour with Madison WI’s People Brother Band, culminating in a New Years Eve show at the Majestic Theater in Madison, WI.

Porky’s Groove Machine also offers workshops to middle and high school band programs in which they share their passion for funk, improvisation, and getting silly. As the ensemble in residence for Appleton, WI’s Mile of Music Music Education team, Porky’s considers breaking the barrier between audience and performer an integral part of their mission as a band. All professional music educators in one way or anther, the band has given workshops as a part of the Mile of Music festival, as well as for the band/choir programs of Fridley High School (Minneapolis, MN), University School of Milwaukee (Milwaukee, WI), Upper Mississippi Academy (St. Paul, MN), Lawrence University Band Camp (Appleton, WI), and Wrightstown High School (Wrightstown, WI).

WURK

Wurk is a 5-piece funk-fusion group that formed in Madison, WI in 2016. Wurk’s 2021 single “Ignition” won the 2022 MAMA for Song of the Year Award and helped the group become recognized once more as the 2022 MAMA Artist of Year.

Max Morkri drives the band with his blend of solid grooving and intricate drum chops, which is coupled by Casey Seymour’s powerful bass lines to glue the band together. Frank Laufenberg (guitar/vocals) provides rhythmic and tonal complexity while filling the role as the principal songwriter and vocalist. Daniel Haschke (saxophones/flute) and Carl Hipenbecker (trumpet/vocals) top it off with impressive horn lines and effects. Most of Wurk’s members grew up in Mount Horeb, WI, just west of Madison; their shared background creates the band’s closeness and ability to communicate complicated ideas musically.

Dee Oh Gee

DeeOhGee is the new chapter in the story of a band of brothers who’ve now been through it! Emerging on a fresh platform to share their unique blend of great American music.

Formerly touring under the name “Blackfoot Gypsies”, they have dropped the old name but kept the same spirit. A spirit arising from a life dedicated to Rock-n-Roll. The group established a loyal fanbase across the US and Europe, while releasing a catalogue of music documenting their journey. After going through inevitable changes over the course of hundreds of shows and thousands of miles – it only felt right right to start a new book, with a sharper sense of who they are and what they’re doing.

DeeOhGee is now comprised of Matthew Paige, Zack Murphy, and Dylan Whitlow. Each member contributes songs and brings different musical expertise to the table. These 3 musicians cover a huge spectrum of instruments – everything from timpani to pianos and banjos to harmoniums. Every single note and voice you hear on their recordings, is them. No studio musicians. They are beyond dedicated to their craft and eagerly work toward giving the world their life’s work. Collecting vibrations from every walk of life in this world and turning them into a hummable tune, with a wink of humor. Now, after all these years of honing their craft, the music is a concentrated serum exported from their souls, for all to share and enjoy. DeeOhGee is a band of people, made of people, for the people.
