Where is High Noon Saloon located?

We are located at 701 E. Washington Ave., seven blocks east of the Capitol, in a big red brick building on the corner of Blount Street and E. Washington Ave.  Our entrance is in the back of the building, at the far end of the parking lot.

Where should I park?

There are plenty of free parking options in the vicinity of High Noon Saloon.  We have a small lot behind our building with the entrance on Blount Street.  If this lot is full there is almost always room in the MG&E Good Neighbor Lot (after 6PM) which is located on Main Street a half a block west of the intersection of Blount & Main Streets.  There is also free street parking on all side streets in the area (2 hour limit before 6PM, no limit after 6PM and on weekends).

How can I get to the High Noon from out of town?

We are located 2.5 hours from Chicago and about 4 hours from Minneapolis.

Take I-90 West to Madison and exit on Hwy 30 West.  From Hwy 30 take the Hwy 151 South / East Washington Ave exit and turn right onto East Washington Ave.  High Noon Saloon will be 3 miles down on your left.

Take I-94 East to Madison and exit at Hwy 151 South / East Washington Ave.  Take East Washinton Ave west into Madison for 5.5 miles.  High Noon Saloon will be on your left.

How can I buy tickets for your shows?

Advance tickets are available online through our website, using our ticketing partner Ticketfly or by calling 877-987-6487.  For larger shows, we typically also have hard tickets available for purchase in person at the High Noon Saloon without a service fee if using cash (add $1 per ticket when using a credit card).

I ordered tickets for a show online- when and where can I pick them up?

If you purchased your tickets online using Ticketfly (our online ticketing provider), then your name will be on our will call list at the door the night of the show.  You will not receive a hard ticket- you simply need to bring your ID and show it to the High Noon staff member at the door the night of the show to gain entrance to the venue.

What time do doors open for your shows?

As a general rule, doors officially open for the show one hour before the advertised show time.  Occasionally an artist will need extra time for set-up and sound check, and this could briefly delay the time we open the doors.

It says on your website that the show I want to see is sold out.  How can I get tickets?

Unfortunately, when a show sells out in advance there are no tickets left at all.  We always highly recommend getting tickets in advance either on our website or at the bar to avoid being shut-out of a show you want to see.

How does seating work at High Noon?

All of our shows are general admission.  If we are expecting a show to sell out, we will remove most of the seating from the main floor, and will only have chairs available in the balcony, so if having a seat is important to you, please plan to arrive at the venue when doors open for the show.  If we are advertising a “seated show”, that means we will have tables and chairs on the main floor all the way up to the stage- but again, these seats are first come, first served, so there is no guarantee that you will get a seat.  If you have a disability or injury and require a seat, please contact the venue in advance so we can be ready to accommodate you.

Are all of your shows 21+?

No.  Our default for shows is 21+, but many of our shows are 18+.  We will always specify the age limit for each show on our website.  We also have shows that are labeled “family-friendly”, which means the performance or event is appropriate for children as well as adults, but kids and adults under 21 need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  Patrons under 21 are welcome to attend any of our shows, no matter the age limit, when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Do you allow cameras at your shows?

The venue allows cameras and video, but sometimes national acts that play here do not allow them.  Before bringing a large and expensive camera that you may need to leave in your car, please contact the venue to find out what is allowed that night.  As a general rule, most bands are OK with “point and shoot” cameras.

I’m coming from out of town to see a show at High Noon.  Can you recommend a hotel close by?

Yes.  You can find a list of local hotels here.  We have a special rate agreements with the Holiday Inn Express on John Nolan Dr. by using this link and Hyatt Place on West Washington Ave through this link when booking your hotel.  Same goes for the Hotel Ruby Marie, Comfort Inn & Suites on E. Washington Ave. by mentioning “High Noon Saloon.”

Do you allow smoking in the venue?

No.  It is illegal to smoke in a bar in Madison, WI.  We do have an outdoor patio available for smokers.   If you light up while inside, you will be asked to leave.

Do you serve food?

Yes.  We serve Glass Nickel Pizza by the slice, and this is typically available during all shows and events at High Noon.

If I am at the bar having a drink before you start charging a cover, do I get to stay and watch the show for free?

No.  The cover charge we collect is paid to the bands for entertaining you, and it is only right that you pay the artists for their show.  We open for business at 4pm on weekdays, and noon on weekends, and we welcome you to come in for happy hour or before a show starts, but if you decide to stay to see the band, we’ll expect you to pay the cover charge.

If I pay to see the early show, can I stay to see the late show for free?

No.  The cover charge for the early show goes to the bands that played the early show, and the cover charge for the late show belongs to the bands that are playing the late show.  Think of it this way- if you go to see a movie in a theater, you can’t stay to see another movie without paying again…

I just want to have a drink on your outdoor patio.  Do I have to pay the cover charge?

No!  Patrons are always welcome to come for drinks on our patio without paying for the show that is going on inside.  We offer cocktail service on the patio from May through September-  our server will be happy to take care of you.  If you happen to arrive at a time when there is no server, you are welcome to come inside and get a drink at the bar to enjoy on the patio.

Do you have a lost and found?

Yes.  If you have lost something at a show, please call or stop down to claim it as soon as possible.  We find LOTS of lost items that are never claimed, and therefore donate things to St. Vinnie’s monthly.  Please remember that we are not responsible for items lost or stolen at High Noon Saloon.

Is High Noon Saloon handicapped accessible?

Yes.  If you need special assistance, please contact the venue in advance at 608-268-1122.

Is there an ATM available at High Noon?
