Plain White T's
Plain White T's
Plain White T’s - composed of Tom Higgenson, Tim Lopez, Dave Trio, De’Mar Hamilton and Mike Retondo - kicked off their vibrant career in the Chicago suburbs in 1997, playing a unique blend of pop, punk, and melody-driven rock and roll in basements and clubs across the metro area. Two decades later, the quintet has become a global success, with thousands of shows, a string of multi-platinum hit singles (“Rhythm of Love,”“1, 2, 3, 4”) and one of the most downloaded songs of all time under their belts: GRAMMY-nominated “Hey There Delilah.”The quintet first came to Fearless Records in early 2000, releasing their certified gold albums, All That We Needed, and later in conjunction with Hollywood Records, Every Second Counts, featuring mega-hit single "Hey There Delilah," which propelled the band to superstardom and lead them to become one of the most praised bands in American rock. In total, the band has released seven full-length studio albums, creating epic rock songs and acoustic-leaning ballads that have made them a household name. Now, Plain White T's are thrilled to return to Fearless Records for the next exciting chapter of their career with a brand-new single called “Land of the Living,”– the first taste of new music from the group since their self-released 2015 album, American Nights. "Fearless was the first label to ever support us and believe in the band, so it just seems so natural to reunite with them after all these years," says vocalist and guitarist Tom Higgenson. "Land of the Living is a song that can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. For us, it's about following your passion no matter what, and enjoying the ups and downs along the way." Plain White T's teamed up with Project Greenlight Digital Studios (PGLDS)to create the music video for "Land of The Living." PGLDS is an open, story-driven, creative community that exists to empower the next generation of great filmmakers. In July of 2016, PGLDS launched a nationwide search for an independent director to create the video. Since the release of “Land of the Living”, Plain White T’s have gone back to their roots, taking the stage at this year’s Alternative Press Music Awards, where they celebrated the 10th anniversary of their chart-topping hit “Hey There Delilah,” and performing at the Vans Warped Tour in Cleveland, OH.
The band is currently in the studio to record their new album, slated for release in early 2018.
The Rua
The Rua
The Rua comprise Roseanna Brown (voice and guitar), Alanna Brown (piano and backing vocals) and Jonathan Brown (violin, guitar, vocals and backing vocals). The band – two sisters and a brother – were brought up in Windsor, England but have Irish blood flowing through their collective veins - their father hails from Derry whilst their mother originates from Tipperary - and they can all remember late nights in the Emerald Isle when they were only allowed to stay up if they performed music or sang songs. Individually, our intrepid heroes pursued a classically-trained musical education – in piano, violin and singing - but it is as The Rua that they have raised eyebrows on both sides of the Atlantic: their 2014 debut album, Essence – heralded as “an astonishingly assured collection” in a 4 star review in Q magazine - spawned three singles including Fight For What’s Right (which reached No.40 in the Mediabase AC chart in the US), Without You (another Mediabase Hot AC Chart high flyer) and Fire and Lies. The success of Essence saw the band touring the US extensively - with Train, Rachel Platten, Adam Lambert, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Karmin, A Great Big World, The Score and Third Eye Blind amongst others – and headlining two Florida shows to a collective audience of 200,000. Indeed, The Rua have taken the US to their hearts to such a degree that they have now visited 43 of its 50 states –“why not Hawaii?” pleads Jonathan – and been the subject of a CBS TV special and a PBS nationally televised concert.
