Well Known Strangers
Well Known Strangers
Well-Known Strangers has been entertaining Midwest audiences with a cello infused, alternative pop/rock, with a tinge-of-country-band sound. Members Joe Adamek (acoustic guitar), Betsy Ade (lead vocals, guitar), Sacia Jerome (cello, background vocals), Theodore Koth (lead guitar, background vocals) Roger Gower (drums/percussion) and John Kulas (bass guitar) have been busy preparing for the Summer 2017 tour of their debut album, Aligned. W·KS is diligently working with Fight to End Exploitation, a non-profit collaborative network working to end human trafficking, and the I-94 Corridor on a concert in June to raise critical awareness and help end human trafficing. With the release of “Voices” W·KS is intensely committed to this cause.

Together, the band members have an amazing mix of musical knowledge and education that provides a unique sound that is reminiscent of familiar of music from the ‘90s while being expressively groundbreaking and melodically rich. While Ade and Adamek do most of the songwriting, it’s the band’s creative spark and sonic diversity that are the driving force behind their sound.
Beth Kille Band
Beth Kille Band
At first glance, you may not know what to make of them....the farm boy, the intellectual, the ex-Marine, all backing up a wild-haired, shoot-from-the-hip spirited woman. But then the show begins, and you know you're about to be wrapped in the arms of a cohesive unit bonded in the kinship of music. The four members of the Beth Kille Band -Michael Mood (bass, backing vocals), Tony Kille (drums), Michael Tully (guitar, backing vocals) and Kille herself (guitar, mandolin, vocals) - have amassed some impressive accolades. In addition to numerous songwriting recognitions, Kille grabbed one of her 19 Madison Area Music Association (MAMA) Awards when she was named "Artist of the Year" in 2010 and Tully snagged the highly-competitive "Guitarist of the Year" Award in 2014. Their style can best be described as Americana Rock but these dynamic performers can play everything from folk to funk to in-your-face rock.
The Racing Pulses
The Racing Pulses
Makers of rock music with memorable hooks, big beats, and sharp lyrics, The Racing Pulses are a trio known for their exhilarating live shows. Since 2012, the band originating from Wisconsin has gone on to play major festivals and venues across the nation. In January The Racing Pulses were invited to the renowned Daytrotter Studios of Davenport, Iowa, where they recorded a session for the Daytrotter archives. Now fresh off a successful Northwest U.S. tour in March, the musicians triumphantly return to Wisconsin for a special evening filled with magnificent melodies and stirring rhythms. You won’t want to miss the momentous night where these rockers on the rise unveil their hotly anticipated debut album, Nothing to Write Home About, recorded at Madison’s own Megatone Studios. Make sure to join the party early on Thursday, May 25th because a wonderful performance from the talented Jake’O McCluskey will kick off the celebrations!
