"Driverless cars: How should Madison prepare?"
Once just a figment of science-fiction imagination, driverless car technology is now making its way onto American roads. Assuming the technology someday becomes mainstream, what will that mean for Madison? How should we prepare for driverless cars?

The Cap Times has assembled an outstanding panel to discuss those questions. Tech reporter Erik Lorenzsonn will moderate the panel, whose members are:

• UW-Madison transportation expert Teresa Adams

• Ald. Maurice Cheeks

• Wisconsin Bike Fed executive director Dave Cieslewicz

• State Sen. Fred Risser, D-Madison

• Downtown Madison Inc. President Susan Schmitz

• Assistant city traffic engineer Yang Tao

The event is free and will start with a meet-and-greet at 6 p.m. The discussion itself will start at 6:30, ending after an hour or so.
