Paulie Fest
Paulie Fest
After the tragic death of Paulie Heenan on November 9, 2012, a group of his family and friends came together to form Paulie’s Gift. Through this group, we seek to keep Paulie’s memory alive and honor his life by supporting projects that reflect some of Paulie’s core principles: his love of music, his eagerness to lend a hand and his desire to bring people together.
Hometown Sweethearts
Hometown Sweethearts
Hometown Sweethearts are way more than one of the best cover bands out there today. This may be a bold statement to make, but they can really back it up. They're not a random group of musicians that got together to make money playing the Chicken Dance or Kool & The Gang covers. What really makes the Hometown Sweethearts stand out from other wedding entertainment is their genuineness. Their catchy dance rhythms are the perfect blend of uniqueness and familiarity. They are truly one of a kind! The core trio of the band have been performing together for over a decade.

In a very short time, they found a musical personality and a commanding groove that has been stirring up dance floors, clubs and wedding receptions all over the country. The Sweethearts bring to mind your favorite band covering your other favorite band's songs. When they perform, it's like hearing tracks you've always loved for the first time! Their one-of-a-kind yet familiar sounds have been turning heads in some interesting places. They were recently featured as the cocktail band in the Adam Sandler film, "That's My Boy". They've also been spotlighted on the NPR radio program, "Whad'Ya Know". They've even played a set of music with Blues Traveler frontman John Popper on harmonica, rolling through hits ranging from Steve Miller to Duran Duran! Their wide range of musical styles mirror their eclectic achievements.

The Hometown Sweethearts bill themselves as a "music lovers party band" because they've dug up a repertoire of songs that are timeless, relevant, and most importantly, not played out. Their selections are so diverse, it's not uncommon to hear Hall and Oats segue into Johnny Cash, or a Jackson 5 song mix into Madonna, then twist into Talking Heads without missing a beat. And since this band has been playing together for so many years, they can effortlessly blend one song into the next without a pause. They perform music like DJ's make mixes! Once your dance floor is jumping, the Sweethearts make it nearly impossible to turn back. With a catalogue of over 400 selections, they have plenty of songs to please everyone. They can perform the time tested favorites, some of today's latest hits, or dig deep into the soundtrack of your life. They can even mix the obscure tunes with the classics without ever changing the party atmosphere.
Mojo Radio
Mojo Radio
Remember when the quality of music was judged by the raw force of a bands dynamic, as opposed to corporate sales charts and overproduced recordings? Well just in case the world may have forgotten, Mojo Radio is here to remind you. With emphasis on ripping guitar lines, solid rhythm backbone, and punchy, soulful vocals, Mojo Radio aims to usher in a new approach to music that’s reminiscent of the g
reat rock ‘n’ roll and blues techniques that have stood the test of time. Drawing heavily from the influences of bands like The Black Crowes, Humble Pie, Free, The Faces, as well as blues artists like Muddy Waters, Freddie King, and Sonny Terry. Mojo Radio creates music that commands attention by way of an undeniable blues-rock groove and pure musical mojo.
Beyond Reason (CD Release Party)
Beyond Reason (CD Release Party)
Beyond Reason collaborative songwriting process is rock driven with various inspirations. The sound has been described as Pink Floyd hitchhiking through the desert under a blood-red sky with echoes of a Latin pulse. One audience member at a show commented: “I stayed through the whole show because I was curious what the next song would sound like.”
Oregon High School Jazz Combo
The Oregon High School Jazz Combos will be performing a few original compositions under the leadership of Paulie's former music teacher, and friend, Leyla Sanyer
