Burial of an Era is a Technical Death Metal band from Madison, Wisconsin.
Burial of an Era formed in the winter of 2001 when guitarists Peter Rebholz and David Natvig met and quickly started writing songs. In February of 2002, drummer Brian Loomis, whom David played in a previous band, joined and the three have been the core of the group ever since. Burial of an Era plays brutal death metal with blend of melody, speed, technicality and emotion. Their music has heavy influences from American and Scandinavian death and black metal, such as Suffocation, Monstrosity, Nile, Origin, Theory in Practice, Emperor and Dimmu Borgir.
From 2003 to 2006, the band started playing local and regional venues across Wisconsin and Illinois with Peter and David doing vocals with the addition of bassist Bryan Marks, previously of Halcyon in February 2004. After a four-year hiatus from winter of 2006 to winter of 2010, Burial of an Era started working on new material. Vocalist Derek Scholler joined in the summer of 2011 and the band has since begun playing shows in Madison and Fond du Lac.

Atamis

Atamis is a progressive gravity metal band from Madison WI. Using complex chord and song structure, they trend a psychedelic and intense Vibe backed with lots of guitar fills and polymetric drum patterns. The band is roughly a year old, and was started by guitarist Clancy Beard and drummer Matt Anderson. With a new EP being recorded at MMI this month, Atamis is a band that will be seen around in frequently within the coming months.
Unnecessary Gunpoint Lecture
Created from the ashes of several other southern Wisconsin-based bands....The Unnecessary Gunpoint Lecture is beginning its assault on everyone. Gyrating, grinding, pushing, aggressive, and at times, experimental and abstract, TUGPL is an amalgam of influence and creativity.
Seeking the Hollows

Hailing from Fond du Lac, WI
This deathcore band consists of 4 young and ambitious, dream chasing members. About 1 year onto the scene they are becoming known amongst the metal scene, and looking to take their music as far as they possibly can.
Drawing their individual influences from everything hardcore to death metal and everything in between from such bands as The Devil Wears Prada, Miss May I , Iwrestledabearonce and Asking Alexandria to Emmure, The Acacia Strain, Oceano, Whitechaple, Suicide Silence and Job For A Cowboy and to lengths of Immortal and Dimmu Borgir. Even certain old FDL local bands like What Lies Ahead..
In late 2012 they released their first ever CD, A 5 song EP called "Catharsis" and are currently working on a far superior sounding/skilled album to hopefully be released in mid/late 2013.
Priding themselves on a very aggressive sound and the good ,bad and ugly of life portrayed through their lyrics. Expect great things from Seeking The Hollows in 2013
